The Richest Pets in the World

It’s no secret that there is a connection between eccentrics and billionaires.

From on-the-spot whimsical business decisions to convoluting hairstyle choices, the eccentric peaks and troughs of the rich have baffled millions over the years, yet thoughts aren’t raised over the evident success proven by such eccentric individuals.

Willing wad-loads of cash and assets to pets appears to be established as an eccentric billionaire’s “must do”, at times even definitive and identifying.

Here are some of the world’s richest heirs, whose assets in cash and fortunes rivals that of hard working humans.

Betty White’s pet dog, Pontiac

Pontiac, Betty White’s Golden Retriever, will inherit a whooping $5 million from White, in the form of a trust fund. It has to be said that very few will ever get to see $5 million within 5 years’ time for some people, with some not even a possibility in a lifetime.

Maria Assunta’s pet cat, Tommaso

The late wife of a wealthy Italian property tycoon, Assunta willed her entire estate and amounts of cash to former alley cat, Tommaso, worth $13 million. The 4 year old former alley cat is now the proud owner of real estate property in Calabria, Italy, Rome and in Milan.

Majel Roddenberry’s dogs

A $4 million trust fund was set up for Majel Roddenberry’s dogs, which came into action when she passed away in 2009. The wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, Majel Roddenberry also stood as the USS Enterprise’s Computer voice actor.

Gail Posner’s pet Chihuahua, Conchita

The late wife of victor Posner left her pet Chihuahua Conchita a $3 million trust fund, with a mansion in Miami Beach, Florida worth $8.3 million.

Oprah Winfrey’s pet dogs

Winfrey’s allocated $30 million for her dogs, a figure which they’d have to divide among themselves. Between the seven of them though – and with today’s down economy – the division remains to be something which sets them up for life.
